What a great story! On December 16 1965, the Little Lady became the first musical instrument to be played in outer space, when Walter Shirra, commander of the Gemini 6 mission, surprised mission control in the run-up to Christmas with a spirited rendition of “Jingle Bells”. Today the Little Lady remains an exceptionally popular gift article and souvenir. It’s fully playable and is constructed exactly like its bigger brothers and sisters.
